Ka Ipu Makani Cultural Heritage Center
Founded in 2015, Ka Ipu Makani is dedicated to promoting cultural and natural resource management and heritage preservation on the island of Molokaʻi. The organization focuses on fostering community stewardship, practice, and restoration of cultural and historical sites, landscapes, and materials. As part of their mission, their Culture and ʻĀina Based Education program focus area aims to boost literacy in culture, ʻāina (land), and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (language) within the community. This involves curriculum development, research, internship programs, and initiatives supporting Molokaʻi's cultural arts. In addition, the organization aims to enhance indigenous ecological knowledge and cultural farming practices, specifically related to loʻipūnāwai kalo cultivation at Kaupapaloʻi o Kaʻamola.
