Hoʻāla School
Hoʻāla School is an independent, non-sectarian, grades K-8 school located in Wahiawa, Hawaiʻi. Hoʻāla currently serves students and families representative of the multi-cultural and socio-economically diverse population of Hawaiʻi. Founded more than two decades ago by Sister Joan Madden and a group of teachers and parents, Hoʻāla School is licensed by the Hawaiʻi Council of private schools, is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a semi-finalist National Schools of Character recipient.
The mission of Hoʻāla School is to provide students with a safe and stimulating environment that encourages the development of mutual respect, sense of belonging and a passion for learning.
The Foundation’s support of Hoʻāla School has largely been to strengthen the school infrastructure and to ensure students who need financial assistance have access to it.
