Hawaiian Community Assets (HCA)
Hawaiian Community Assets (HCA) is a nonprofit community development organization and Department of Housing and Urban Development certified counseling agency with offices statewide. Founded in 2000 to build the capacity of low- and moderate-income communities to achieve and sustain economic self-sufficiency, HCA manages Financial Opportunity Centers offering services and products that support housing affordability, living wage employment, and economic self- sufficiency. HCA owns a nonprofit Department of Treasury certified community development financial institution, Hawaiʻi Community Lending, that partners with HCA to provide access to grants, loans, and mortgage financing to achieve the organization’s mission.
