Hawaiʻi Community Reinvestment Corporation (HCRC)
Hawaiʻi Community Reinvestment Corporation (HCRC) is a 501(c)3 community-based nonprofit corporation founded in 1990. HCRC is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and Community Development Entity (CDE) serving the state of Hawaiʻi. The mission of HCRC is to facilitate affordable housing, community development, and economic development throughout the State of Hawaiʻi by providing innovative financing, training and consulting services.
In 2022 and 2023, the Foundation provided grant and program related investment support to HCRC’s Community Real Estate Fund as a partner in the Affordable Housing for Families program area. The HCRC Community Real Estate Fund provides loans and lines of credit to affordable housing developers and nonprofit organizations in the State of Hawai‘i. The fund provides financing for pre-acquisition, and pre-development of real estate projects targeted at serving people earning less than 80% area median income.
