Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference registration and student scholarship applications (April 2017)
Registration is now open for the 24th Annual Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference, July 18-20th, 2017 at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center. This year’s theme, “He Waʻa He Moku- Mālama Honua: Caring for our Island Earth” highlights the need to treat the biocultural resources of our island home, and island earth, as carefully as we would the limited water and food carried on a waʻa.
Conference highlights will include presentations from impactful speakers, opportunities to learn about different technologies, methods, and approaches to conservation, field activities, and new and strengthened partnerships among Hawaiʻi’s conservation community.
There is also a student scholarship available for students and emerging professionals interested in pursuing a career in a conservation-related field who would like to attend the conference. Scholarship recipients will also be eligible to participate in the Pūlama Kuamoʻo Mentorship Program at the conference.
