Nā Hua Hoʻohuli i Ka Pono (ELP)

Partner

Started in 2015, Nā Hua Ho‘ohuli i Ka Pono is an internship program based on the island of Maui. The program offers a new internship experience, to not only develop high-quality candidates for existing conservation jobs, but to cultivate the leaders of tomorrow. The program aims to develop conservation leaders of the future that are firmly rooted in their commitment to protecting Hawai‘i's environment, possess a variety of skills and experiences in the field, and are able to skillfully and comfortably navigate non-conservation arenas (political, social, cultural, etc.). Over the long term, they'll be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders and the community in general. The program partners closely with Kupu to offer both summer and Extended Internship (year round) opportunities.
